1. CAN I GET A FREE RING SIZER?

Absolutely!  We send out a free ring sizer with every order (unless it’s a surprise).  By using our ring sizer, if the ring needs to be resized within 30 days of receiving it, the cost is on us!  See point 2 HERE for more details. If you’re unsure of your size, choose any ring size when you order, and you can update your size when you get the sizer.

2. HOW DO I USE THE RING SIZER?

When you receive the ring sizer, insert the tail of it into the loop to form it into a circle.  Put the sizer on the finger you want the ring for and put it on the knuckle above where the ring will sit.  Tighten the sizer until it’s very snug, but not so snug that it is uncomfortable.  Now push the ring sizer all the way on and see how it feels.

We have you send us a picture because sometimes the sizer is a little hard to read.  Also, we take into account your finger length and shape.

3. HOW DO I USE THE SIZER IF I’M WEARING MORE THAN ONE RING ON MY FINGER?

The more rings you wear, or the wider the rings are on your finger, affects the ring size.  The more that’s on your finger, the larger the ring size you’ll need.  So, if your new ring will go on your finger first, put the sizer on first, then your other ring or rings.  Adjust the sizer accordingly.  Or, if the new ring is going on the finger after your other rings, put them on first and then the sizer.  Again, take a picture like these:

4. WHAT IF I’M NOT SURE OF THE RING SIZE AND IT’S A SURPRISE?

Some have gotten a friend involved to sneakily help figure it out.  If she has a ring that she wears on her ring finger currently, you can take that to a local jeweler and get the size that way.

I can help too! If you have a picture of her that shows her hand I can at least give you a good guess.  If the ring you are purchasing has stones going only half way down the shank, or none at all, it means it’s pretty easy to size up or down.

5. CAN MY RING BE RESIZED IF I GET THE WRONG SIZE?

In general, yes.  Rings that are hard to resize are rings that have stones or designs in the metal that go all the way around, and rings with certain colored gemstones.  Read on.

7. HOW DOES FINGER LENGTH, KNUCKLE SHAPE, AND FINGER SHAPE EFFECT MY RING SIZE?

If your fingers are shorter, it just means that you can’t fit as many rings, or rings as wide as someone who has longer fingers.  This doesn’t affect ring size.

What can affect ring size is whether your knuckle is larger or smaller than where the ring sits.  If the knuckle is smaller, then you’ll just proceed with the sizer as normal.

But if your knuckles are slightly larger or much larger than where your ring sits, then by the time you get the ring over you knuckle, it can flop around on your finger once it’s all the way on.  Many with this situation find sizing beads to be a good option.  Click on this blog and scroll down to where it explains sizing beads:

9. WHY DOES MY RING SIZE CHANGE?

There can be several reasons why your ring size can change:

1. Weight gain or loss in general, or during pregnancy
2. Temperature change.  The colder the temperature, the smaller your finger will be.  The hotter it is, the larger your finger will be.
3. Time of day.  Typically fingers are larger in the morning.
4. Time of month.  Some women experience more swollen fingers as hormone levels change

10. CAN MEN USE THE SAME SIZER?

Yes!  Everything I’ve shown here in this blog applies to men as well.
